One question that doesn\u2019t come up all that often is whether <\/span>biofeedback<\/span><\/b> can help us make better life <\/span>decisions<\/span><\/b>. Yet it is a very valid question! It reminds me of a particular client of mine, whose journey serves as the perfect response.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Some years ago, I was approached by a wonderful lady from Scotland asking for a <\/span>biofeedback session<\/span><\/a>. She had been experiencing diarrhea for over 3 years, and it had turned her life into a nightmare. <\/span>Chronic diarrhea<\/span><\/b> made her rush to the restroom after every meal. She felt it was affecting her job and she didn\u2019t trust herself to go out socially either. She skipped birthdays and dinners with friends, and felt scared up to the point of exhaustion.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

To make matters worse, doctors were having a hard time diagnosing what was causing her imbalance. They were, however, confident that her <\/span>kidneys<\/span><\/b> were damaged beyond recovery. Fortunately, that turned out to be false, something she and I would prove together later. But understandably, this initial diagnosis made her feel even more <\/span>anxious<\/span><\/a>. When she came to me, she was in tears.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Why not give biofeedback a shot? <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A few days before arriving at my practice, this lady from Scotland had had another doctor’s appointment. This one doctor prescribed <\/span><\/span>chemotherapy<\/span><\/span>, just to see if it would help, even though she had not been diagnosed with cancer. He pushed her to give the go-ahead,<\/span> but instead she decided to call me first.<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

So, this wonderful lady eventually came in and had her <\/span>biofeedback <\/span>session.<\/span> Her stressors proved much related to her bowel flora and parasites, and that didn’t surprise me at all. The kidney imbalances she had were, simply put, linked to <\/span><\/span>dehydration<\/span><\/span>. I directed the session carefully, focusing on possible parasites and detoxing, finishing with a so-called<\/span> AutoZap<\/span> protocol.<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

As a biofeedback practitioner I find it important to educate clients about their options to lead a healthier life. That\u2019s why I always end a biofeedback session with some homework, in the form of tips the client can follow. As well as continuing our biofeedback sessions and <\/span>drinking more water<\/span><\/a>, I suggested a <\/span>10-week detox<\/span><\/b> for all major organs to get rid of potential parasites in the gut, in addition to a healthy diet that included <\/span>probiotics<\/span><\/b> \u2013 something it seems she\u2019d never heard of before! \u2013 and micro minerals, among other things.\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In addition to physical health, I also focus on <\/span>mental health<\/span><\/b> because they are intrinsically linked. Emotions associated with the large intestine include sadness and grief, so we had a lot to talk about as the sessions continued to go deeper.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The day following her first session was <\/span><\/span>the first day in 3 years<\/span><\/span> this client did not experience diarrhea. Three sessions in, she felt like a whole new person: <\/span>happy<\/span>, relieved, and ready to grab life by the horns again. Eventually, even her kidneys started to show signs of recovery.<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Deciding to try biofeedback before taking drastic health measures was this lady from Scotland\u2019s first life-changing decision in a series of many. To this day, we continue our<\/span> lifestyle and counselling<\/span> sessions, which are usually held online. As well as sticking to her healthy diet, she has made some other very <\/span><\/span>important choices<\/span><\/span> in the emotional department, too. I can see she\u2019s thriving, and for me it was and is an absolute privilege<\/span> to be a part of her health journey.<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Biofeedback<\/span> opens so many doors, often unexpectedly. Those doors can help us learn about ourselves, to take better care of ourselves, and to trust our body in its capacity to self-heal. Biofeedback can empower anyone who is motivated to take better and more focused decisions, for the time being but also with potential future developments in mind.<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Margr\u00e9t Margr\u00e9tard\u00f3ttir\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0suffered a serious accident in 1995 and was deemed incurable by doctors.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>In 2005, she discovered biofeedback technology. Her health improved and she bought her own biofeedback device in 2006.
