“I was carrying an immense, invisible weight, going through each day with a heavy heart and a tired body. I wondered, why am i so exhausted all the time?” When Stacy J. (42) met Dr. Márta Simon, she had been struggling with chronic fatigue syndrome for three long years, feeling her energy levels dwindle until everything felt like running a marathon. A combination of dietary changes and regular quantum biofeedback sessions set Stacy on the path to recovery. “I still take things one step at a time, but I’m proud to say I have rediscovered the joy in everyday life.”

Unexplained fatigue

QX: What is chronic fatigue syndrome?

Dr. Simon: Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a complex and often elusive disorder that can best be described as persistent, unexplained fatigue that does not go away with rest and good sleep. It is often hard to diagnose – among other things because chronic fatigue symptoms and their degrees of severity differ, turning CFS into a uniquely personal struggle. There certainly is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to chronic fatigue syndrome treatment.

QX: What is it like, living with CFS?

Stacy: It’s like pushing against an unrelenting force. “I feel tired all the time” doesn’t even begin to describe it — it’s an overwhelming, extreme fatigue that permeates every aspect of my being, making everyday activities like a meeting or dinner with my two daughters feel like an impossible hurdle. In addition to constrantly struggling between what I want to do and what my body will allow, it makes me feel quite lonely. It’s incredibly hard to explain what living with chronic fatigue syndrome means to someone who doesn’t suffer from it.

Changing the narrative

QX: Where did your journey to recovery start?

Stacy: Three and a half years ago, I was desperate to regain control over my life. I started making changes to my diet with the help of a nutritional coach, who provided a meal plan tailored to my specific needs, with plenty of energy-boosting foods that address my daily deficiencies. My new daily routine didn’t cause an overnight transformation, but I soon started noticing small changes — a spark of energy here, a feeling of lightness there … Moreover, my dietician pointed out the benefits of quantum biofeedback sessions, encouraging me to reach out to Dr. Simon.

QX: How can quantum biofeedback help someone like Stacy?

Dr. Simon: Our sessions help Stacy to harmonize her body’s energy frequencies, promoting balance and overall wellbeing. Quantum biofeedback acted as a catalyst, aligning her energy flow and unlocking reserves of vitality. The journey was not without its challenges, though. Stacy experienced ups and downs, setbacks and breakthroughs, but with each session, she felt a subtle but tangible shift. Her body responded positively, and her energy started to return.

 

Stacy: Six months into my program, my outlook on life is totally different. I have this renewed sense of self, and find myself gradually returning to activities I used to enjoy. My recovery is an ongoing process, so I still have to try and pace myself from time to time. But by sharing my story, I hope to inspire others. The journey to renewed energy is possible if you are committed and recognize that that your body needs a tailored approach because it is unique.
